Snap It or Scrap It Saturday

I took about 25 photos of Cherith sitting on the couch yesterday. I loved the the color of her lips and her shirt with the couch and pillows. But what my eye could see was not delivered by my camera. Really, the more I learn about photography, the more I hate our little point and shoot. It's a great point and shoot, but does not deliver the results I want, like an SLR would. All my indoor pictures are always blurry, grainy, or washed out. Anyhow, here's two of the best. One with the flash and one without. They have been majorly doctored in Photoshop to clean up the over exposure and under exposure, brighten the colors, and sharpen them a bit. They are still grainy. I don't know of a way to fix that. And the colors still aren't true to real life.

I am SO with you on wanting an SLR. Like you, I feel I have outgrown my point and shoot and would really like to tackle some more interesting shots. Photography is something that is really fun and I want to learn all I can - that's one reason I love Pioneer Woman so much. She's got some talent.
