One of the things I love about Photoshop is being able to edit photos. I can take a so-so picture and make it really pop and look way beyond my ability just by adjusting the contrast with the Curves tool and by adjusting the color hues with the Selective Color tool. I decided to go through and find some of my favorite photos and give them a bit of a pop. I hope the color and contrast looks good on here. I edited them in CYMK (printer's colors) mode, because I generally want them to look good printed. So, if they're not looking good here, I might need to go back and edit them in RGB (screen color display) so you can see the difference.
Now, if only Photoshop had a tool called, "Crumby P&S Indoors Fix"

My absolute favorite Photoshop tools for regular pictures are Dodge and Burn. I used PS for years before realizing what those little tools could do!!! They're really awesome to use on grayscale photos too.
This blog is just a creative way to keep track of all the disciplines I wish to incorporate into my life. It seems there are so many things I need/want to keep up with. Yet during the day, they fly from my mind like a sparrow from a hawk. It is only as I lay in bed that they all float around me as the Ghost of Superwoman Past, come back from the 1950's to haunt me. Then of course, I get frustrated that I can't do it all at once. I forget that to everything there is a time and season. I created this blog as a tool to help me fit it all in, by assigning a discipline accountability challenge to each day of the week. My hope is that having to blog about it will motivate me to act. Feel free to join in if you wish. Just sign Mr. Linky with a link to your discipline challenge blog post or leave a comment. Don't forget to subscribe with your RSS feeder.
